Factory audits are a key component of the ICTI CARE certification program. Certification is only awarded when factories demonstrate they meet the standard required as set out in the ICTI CARE Code. ICTI CARE maintains a select panel of independent audit companies to conduct factory audits on its behalf.
In order to ensure the quality and integrity of the ICTI CARE program and its effective and efficient implementation, we periodically review the audit companies on our panel.
The audit process is a vital part of our decision making on whether ICTI CARE certification is granted to factories. The audit process is also part of the support we provide to factories in meeting the requisite standard and maintaining that performance in the long term for the benefit of all stakeholders, specifically their workers. Accordingly, all audit companies which are offered a position on the panel will be expected to sign written engagement terms in which they undertake to maintain high standards of professional competence and integrity throughout their appointment.
All audit companies (including those currently on the panel) who wish to become part of the 2017-2019 ICTI CARE approved audit panel and thereby become accredited to conduct ICTI CARE program audits, are therefore invited to submit an application to us. Existing panel companies which do not apply will not be considered for the panel.
Those who wish to participate should;
Submit an application letter stating your intention to apply for the ICTI CARE accredited audit company status
Provide a brief introduction to your company
Provide evidence demonstrating your experience to date in the social audit field, including your geographical areas of operation and expertise and regional capability
Provide details of services and support offered to build capacity and drive continuous improvement at the factory level
Provide details and experience of the key personnel who will be involved in conducting audits on behalf of ICTI CARE
Provide a copy of your business registration/license
Provide a copy of your company’s integrity policy
Provide the organization chart of your company
Confirm you will fully participate in all due diligence checks and verification processes requested by ICTI CARE. These will be conducted by an independent 3rd party appointed by ICTI CARE
Pay the fee required to complete the due diligence checks
Confirm that, if appointed to be an accredited ICTI CARE audit company, you will sign the relevant contractual agreement and abide by all terms set out in the agreement
